Same day dental crowns are readily available for patients in the area of Wrentham, Massachusetts 02093

Patients in the area of Wrentham, Massachusetts 02093 who are interested in receiving same day dental crowns are welcome to speak with the team of Advanced Dental Practices. Our practice employs the CEREC system, which allows the dentist to create restorations while patients wait—eliminating the need for temporary restorations and extra appointments. Dr. Rawat understands how busy patients are and wants to help them get in and get out with the services they require.

Purposes of dental crowns

Dental crowns are used in a variety of situations. They may be used for:

  • Covering a tooth that has an extremely large cavity
  • Providing protection for a tooth that has undergone root canal therapy
  • Addressing broken or chipped teeth that are problematic
  • Creating a false tooth over a dental implant as a tooth replacement
  • Bonding with false teeth (pontics) to create a dental bridge

How dental crowns are made

CEREC uses CAD/CAM technology which digitizes the impressions taken during the process. Patients first discuss with Dr. Rawat if a dental crown is appropriate. Once it has been decided to move forward, the tooth is prepared with the removal of the enamel. Impressions are made and digitized, then the CEREC machine mills out the restoration within 20 minutes while patients wait. The dentist bonds the restoration in place and patients can get on with their day!
